How to Import csv. files in CRM

In order to import certain csv file into the customers CRM you need to follow the below steps.

NOTE: IF THE CSV. FILE YOU ARE PLANNING TO IMPORT DOES NOT HAVE EXACTLY THE CORRECT FORMAT AS BELOW, THE IMPORT WILL NOT WORK

1. Go to CRM and click Import Candidates from the Actions Menu.


2. The file you attempt to import should be ONLY csv. and have the following column formatting:

  • Fname
  • Lname
  • Email
  • Mobile
  • CVname

3. If your file has more fields (columns) than the 5 above, they have to be imported as "notes" and it will appear under "Notes" in the system.

Examples of extra fields:

  • Email 2
  • Mobile 2
  • Notes

Other rules:

  • If email already exists in system/CRM, no import or update will occur.
  • If CVname does not exist in the file to be imported, then CVname will be empty in CRM.
  • The import will show a result at the end of the "import" process
  • The 5 mandatory fields must be always in the same order as above
  • Anything after first 5 fields will become notes (up to max of 5 extra fields)
  • If there are duplicated emails in the file, only the first one will be imported
  • For results: rejected in table and number of imported ones : reason > Email already exists
  • CVname should be unique, as we can not have 2 different people with the same CVname
